- Fry base: Heat oil, sauté onion until golden (5 mins). Add veggies, biryani masala, cook 5 mins.Add rice: Drain rice, layer over veggies. Add yogurt, salt, water.Cook: Bring to boil, then simmer covered 15 mins on low (dum style).Infuse: Drizzle saffron milk on top, let steam 5 mins off-heat.Fluff & serve: Mix gently, garnish with fried onions.
